Raiding Information Empty Raiding Information

For Wrath of the Lich King, Brawl will be making a dedicated run for progression. This means that we have undergone some internal changes to better suit a more hardcore raid style. To us, a hardcore raid style isn't necessarily dedicating 100 hours a week to progression. We feel that "hardcore" is fundamentally about expectations and the level of preparation we bring to each raid.

Our Raid Schedule is Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday, 6pm-9pm server. We will be looking to get into raids on the reset day and giving it a lot of attention. Friday and Saturday are recoup days (we value the weekends), and Sunday is a cleanup day.

What we're looking for in Core Raiders is mostly dedication. We have a required 75% attendance rate for our schedule. We also require that every raider be able to stay until at least 9pm server. We rarely go past that time, but there may be cases where we go a wee bit later. But raiders leaving before our scheduled stop time is a waste of our time and reflects poorly on the raider.

But there's more to being a Core Raider than just showing up for raids. It's preparation. Since we don't focus on progression for 5-6 days a week, our time is valuable. Thus, raiders are expected to be prepared for each and every raid. Our 6pm start time is not for invites, but for first pull. So, we need every raider at the entrance to the raid instance by 5.45pm server. The raider is also expected to be fully repaired with enough flasks/potions/elixirs/food/bandages/reagents to last 3 hours of progression raiding and prepared for a worst-case scenario night of wiping.

Above the hardset rules of raiding, we are looking for raiders that work well in a group environment. There are no individuals in a raid, just the team. The biggest expectation of everyone is that the welfare of the group is more important than the welfare of the individual. We're going to be looking for raiders who contribute to the raid group and who know how to do their job in a raid environment. This means if all you're doing is chasing gear, we don't want you. We want to see the content; gear is a consequence and a tool. There comes a time when things like breaking CC, or misrolling on gear ceases to be accidental. Just know that people will be called on out things like this, and if no remedial action is taken on the part of the raider (we are willing to help), then it will certainly affect their Core Raider status.

Casual Raiders. This rank designates those in guild who cannot meet the time requirements of Core Raiding or who can, but have not received a spot in the Core Group. We cannot always guarantee raid spots for Casual Raiders, but we do 'promote from within'. Any empty raid spots will first be filled from the Casual Raiders, and any recruiting to fill Core Raider ranks is done first from the Casual Raiders who can meet our requirements.

If a Casual Raider is accompanying the Core Raiders on a raid, there will be certain allowances in raid expectations since pulling from the Casual ranks will often be last-minute.
