Alts/Mains/Main Specs. Come WotLK, everyone will be locked into choosing their Main and their Main Specs. Applications will be based on Mains and Specs as well. If a guild member wishes to change their main, or their spec for raiding purposes, it must first be approved by the GL and the officers. Switching without consent puts a damper on raid composition and could jeopardize our success in WotLK end-game material. We cannot guarantee that everyone who wishes to change their main/spec will be able to, but we promise to give as much consideration as possible. The issue of spec changes can be pivotal considering multi-purpose classes such as druids, paladins, and priests (to name a few). In the chance that the raid needs a member as an "off-spec", the guild will cover the respeccing costs, no more than 100g to support the maximum cost of switching to and from the off-spec. In the case of raiders sitting in off-specs come raid time, they are fully expected to cover the cost of their own respeccing to their main raiding spec.

During the leveling process, we understand that certain classes may need to grind as something more manageable (ie, healing classes switching to dps for leveling). That is fine. But come 80 when we're in Naxx, raiders will have to go back to their chosen specs. So the holy paladin who leveled to 80 as ret should have been collecting holy gear to switch back come our first raid.
