Loot Council

In any progression loot-drop situation, the receiver of the item will be determined by Loot Council. The Guild Leader and Officers comprise the council.

There are many determining factors the officers have to consider before rewarding a piece of loot. We look at the size of the upgrade or set bonus, we consider the raider's standing with the group and performance, we look at attendance. Overall, and simply speaking, we will reward the loot to the person where it will benefit the raid most. We are not in the habit of gearing people out of the kindness of our hearts. Gear is a privilege, not a right.

Core Raiders will also have priority over Casual Raiders and Pugs. The focus is progression, and we can't do that when the Core Raiders aren't getting the tools they need to carry the momentum. There may be times where Loot Council can also override the system and ask for rolls.

For Trial Members, their priority is set after Casual.

How this works in a raid:

A piece of gear drops. The Loot Master will ask for main set upgrades from the Core Raiders. The Core Raiders who believe the loot is an upgrade (or situational upgrade) will link in officer chat (/o) their current piece of gear and a few quick words on what makes it so valued (haste, hit rating, etc). The Loot Council will then briefly discuss and vote on which raider is rewarded the drop. (Pugs and Trial Members may whisper the Loot Master since they cannot link in our officer channel, and the Loot Master will link to the officers on their behalf.)

If the item is not a main set upgrade for a Core Raider, then Casual Raider and Pug mainsets will be considered. If the item is not a main set upgrade for a Casual or Pug, then offset for Core. Afterwards, Casual and Pug offsets may be considered.

For all intents and purposes, Alts of Core Raiders will be considered as Casual Raiders when determining loot awards.
