Heigan safe spot?

So ummm, apparently there is a safe spot.

I got two things out of re-reading this.

1) possible for him to tanked at the extreme front corner of the platform while the ranged/heals stands at the extreme rear opposite corner. No kiting, no disease

2) there is a supposedly a safe spot on the far side of the platform along the wall. Its then possible to DPS heigan during phase II

BUT! My current guild does this all the time. It's how we down him actually. It's stupid easy 0_O

Hmm... My Heigan exploit is to just not die during DDR.

just a heads up, they've fixed the sweet spot. ( as we sadly discovered last night )

they also up'ed the range of his slow casting aura and we had trouble getting the distance right. Its very nearly max range for healers, was a little dicey working it out, but we managed.

I'm actually really glad we learned that last night and not tonight in 25 man.

I've done heigan at least 10 times. probably more. and I can recall surviving exactly 3. odds are unfavorable in my case.

However, the dead bodies are helpful to people who stay alive, we're like markers, so know you still have a purpose!

oh, and making Fabe laugh. He loves this boss.

Pointing out the obvious, but try to memorize exactly where each splash boundary comes thru the floor, and stop short of it (yes, I took these while dead)

the boundaries to each section are mirrored on the ceiling in the form of the chains hanging from the cauldron. when your camera is pulled all the way back and directly looking down on your character, you'll see when you pass each section. at least, this is the method i use.
